Duncan Jones ('Moon')

Published Tuesday, Jul 14 2009, 06:00 BST | By Simon Reynolds
Taking a different career path to his rock legend father David Bowie, director Duncan Jones has pulled in influences from classic sci-fi movies Outland, Silent Running and Alien for his big screen debut Moon. Starring Sam Rockwell as an astronaut mining for Helium-3 on the moon, the movie opens across the UK this Friday. Hit 'play' to see Duncan talk to DS about showing his film to NASA, working with multiple Sam Rockwells and using Chesney Hawkes on his film's soundtrack.
