He might still be best known as a rapper, but Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson is also deadly serious about a career in film. He made his debut in Get Rich Or Die Tryin' back in 2005, essentially playing himself (a street thug who aspires to a better life) before appearing as a gangland boss opposite his childhood heroes Al Pacino and Robert De Niro in Righteous Kill (2008). Dead Man Running finds him in a similar role, playing a London-based kingpin who gives Tamer Hassan and Danny Dyer just 24 hours to cough up a hundred grand.
Jackson tells DS about his plans to write, direct and produce his own movies as well as giving us the heads-up on his forthcoming album Before I Self-Destruct.
