Published Thursday, Dec 10 2009, 06:00 GMT | By Simon Reynolds and Philippa Warr
An adaptation of Maurice Sendak's 1963 children's book, Where The Wild Things Are drifted through Hollywood for years before it found an unlikely champion in the form of Being John Malkovich director Spike Jonze. The film, out in the UK on Friday, centres on a young boy (Max Records) who escapes to a world where he is crowned king of a band of wild creatures. DS caught up with Records and producer Vincent Landay to chat wolf costumes, Arcade Fire and Higglety Pigglety Pop!
