Ricky Gervais's career has soared into the stratosphere somewhat since he spearheaded BBC sitcom The Office in 2001. Extras and a starring role in Ghost Town quickly followed before he made his big screen directorial debut with last year's The Invention Of Lying. It's safe to say that he's Britain's biggest comedy export.

Digital Spy recently had ten minutes to quiz Ricky about his Golden Globes hosting gig, shooting Rob Lowe in the face on the Lying set and what classic films he's taking inspiration from for his upcoming Cemetery Junction. Click 'play' below to watch the interview.

The Invention Of Lying is released on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK on February 1 and is out now in the US.
