David Schwimmer on 'Trust': Video interview

Though seven years have elapsed since the finale of Friends, David Schwimmer remains synonymous with the blundering but well-intentioned Ross Geller.

However, in contrast to the character he played on that sitcom, Schwimmer is a dynamic kind of guy who gets things done in the face of great scepticism.

He got a warm reception for his unlikely directorial debut Run Fatboy Run in 2007 before going on to helm episodes of Little Britain USA, and his latest foray behind the camera is an even more dramatic break with the norm.

Trust, starring Clive Owen, captures the havoc wreaked upon a suburban American family when a teenage girl is groomed for sex by an online predator. The 44-year-old reveals why this disturbing tale struck such a personal chord with him.
