It's been two years since Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus was in cinemas, but the legendary director is back with a brand now "filmette" called The Wholly Family.
With funding coming from an unlikely source (sauce?!) - Italian pasta company Garofalo - Gilliam was instructed to make a short that must a) take place in Naples, and b) feature no deaths.
The results are typically Gilliam-esque, showing what happens to a young boy when he unwisely swipes a Pulcinella doll from an Italian market vendor. Watch Gilliam discuss The Wholly Family and 3D filmmaking with Digital Spy below:
The Wholly Family is screening on October 14 and October 17 as part of The School of Life short films programme at the BFI London Film Festival.
