George Sampson interview: 'StreetDance 2 will make you smile'

By
George Sampson wowed Britain's Got Talent viewers back in 2008 with his dancing skills, and has since moved into acting with roles in Waterloo Road and StreetDance.

The 18-year-old returns as Eddie for this week's StreetDance 2 as part of a dance crew that heads across Europe to take on the Invincible troupe.

Digital Spy sat with Sampson to discuss why the Germans have two left feet, facing off against Wrath of the Titans for audience attention and the popularity of dance movies.

"Everyone can relate to having fun while dancing, if it's in a nightclub or dancing with your sister with a hairbrush. Everyone knows that sense of having a good time," Sampson said.

"I think the Step Up movies, you can see other people dancing and you get a good time from it, but in StreetDance, I was watching it and constantly smiling all the way through. It's one of those movies where there's a happy climax.

"I think that's why people enjoy it, it's just about having a great time."

StreetDance 2 opens in UK cinemas on March 30.
