The Lucky One sees him play Logan, a Marine who's a veteran of three tours of Iraq. After discovering a photograph of a woman in the rubble, he adopts it as his lucky charm and seeks out the young woman - Taylor Schilling's Beth - when he returns home.
Digital Spy sat down with Efron, Schilling and director Scott Hicks to find out what excited them about starring in the Nicholas Sparks adaptation, their favourite on-screen couples and why unhooking a bra one-handed is "not that hard".

"Being a young actor in the space that I am in right now, in sort of this transition phase, I'm very director-driven.
"I knew that it was a love story, that it's based on Nicholas Sparks['s novel]. He writes great characters. I knew it would be a challenge, so I don't know what else you could ask for in a part.
"I knew it was going to be hard and I knew that I had good guidance."
The Lucky One opens in UK cinemas on Wednesday, May 2.
