'The Dark Knight Rises' Marion Cotillard interview - video

By
Marion Cotillard takes on the role of Wayne Enterprises board member Miranda Tate in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises.

Digital Spy caught up with the Oscar winner to discuss continuing her working relationship with Nolan (who directed her in Inception), getting giddy seeing Batman for the first time and a superhero - Benoît Brisefer - who loses his powers when he gets sick.

On Nolan's approach to working with his cast, Cotillard said: "He's an amazing technician but at the same time he's an amazing director for actors.

"He really cares for the actor's journey and he's really interested in the character's soul and heart. For an actor, there's nothing that's better than this."

The actress added that Bruce Wayne "feels that he can understand [Miranda]".

"They both have a goal they want to achieve and they're going to use all their power to achieve it. They relate to each other," she explained.

The Dark Knight Rises is showing in cinemas now.
