Isla Fisher puts her own spin on the Tooth Fairy for this week's DreamWorks animated movie Rise of the Guardians.
Speaking to Digital Spy, the actress revealed that seeing the initial designs for the character allowed her to quickly get to grips with the role.
"This version of the tooth fairy, her being part-hummingbird, dictated her mannerisms. She speaks quickly because she has to move quickly," she said.
"She's such an iconic character, but we were able to give her a sweetness - she's super-organised, but she's ditzy. We run the whole gamut with her."
Rise of the Guardians sees the Tooth Fairy, Santa, the Easter Bunny, Sandman and Jack Frost band together to face the threat of the Boogeyman (Jude Law).
Asked if she had any childhood fears, Fisher replied: "I've always been a little bit scared. Even now when I walk downstairs, I can have the image of me falling down and cracking my two front teeth or something.
"I'm just a bit of a nervous nelly. I don't think that's really changed."
Rise of the Guardians opens in cinemas on Friday, November 30.
