Ben Stiller and Kristen Wiig are renowned for comedy roles in the likes of Zoolander and Bridesmaids, but they showcase their versatility in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
The duo spoke to Digital Spy about their impressive collaboration, in which Stiller plays the renowned fantasist and Wiig plays a co-worker he's attracted to.
"There are so many distractions now and ways to experience things that are not actual real experiences," says Stiller, explaining why the classic 1939 tale of Walter Mitty feels so relevant in today's age.
Review: The Secret Life of Water Mitty
The movie focuses on the closure of Life magazine in favour of a digital version, which nicely ties in with director Stiller's decision to shoot the movie on film - a rarity in Hollywood.
"That's the way the world is going," states Wiig. "Digital is easier, quicker, but film - you can't replicate that."
DS also found out the answers to two burning issues - the possibility of a Bridesmaids sequel and whether Sean Penn or Ben Stiller is better at football having played on the same team during a sequence in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is released in UK cinemas on December 26.
