Marvellous fun! Saw the stage show twice, One in London's West End years ago and on Broadway last year, so when the film was released it was a must-see! Loved it as well and now, with the DVD in my possesion, I watch it frequently to pitch my mood up a bit. Makes me happy! What more can you ask for in a world like this!

This film is amazing! You get into it as it goes on, and if you like Abba, you can't help but love this film!

LOVED this film, went with my friend and my mum and I was just going along really as hadnt seen much about it but it was fantastic. We went to singalong version which was fun and not many people singing at beginning but then by end everyone was singing loudly and clapping. I am so looking forward to it coming out on DVD

Absolutely brilliant!! Even my husband (who fell asleep during Evita) loved it and my 10 year old daughter hasn't stopped singing the songs ever since seeing the film!! The fact Pierce's singing isn't up to much adds to the laughs, but he is absolutely gorgeous to look at!

the best movie i have seen in a very long time. the songs are so addictive; downloaded all of them. i went to see the film with a group of mates and we were all singing and dancing. definetely going to buy it on DVD. i have to see it again :) PB singing made be laugh but i cant stop listening to "S.O.S". and those random villagers that just popped out of nowhere and started singing made me and my friends cry of laughter. ohh what a film. if you havent seen in you have to !

can't understand the fuss. it was at best average, at its worst it was cringe worthy. Meryl Streep was far too old for the role. i have to admit to feeling a little bit of admiration for Pierce Brosnan-his singing was appalling, yet he continued on. .....only good points were Julie Walters and the the end credits. ......... i am forced to admit that i did seem to be in a minority-everyone else appeared to enjoy themselves. Roll on the Dark Knight!!!

this movie really surprised me im not really into abba i went on the recommendation of my family and coworkers and was amazed first of all at meryl streep's voice and secondly at how fun the movie is. it was absolutely amazing and anyone who says otherwise doesn't have neither a sense of humour or nor a sense of fun.

Oh my days, this must be the best film i've seen in my life, already seen it twice and would be happy too see it again! I'm quite ill at the moment but i came out of that cinema and just felt fine for about 3 hours after wards and had a smile on my face, and my whole family has turned in to ABBA maniacs, it's in the cars, tv, cd players, every where, and i wasnt even alive when they were around but i no all the songs. LOVE IT :) my perfect movie, cheesey, pierce brosnan, and a happy ending :)

I was an original ABBA fanwent to the very first preview of the stage show back in 1999. I met Benny and Bjorn after and they asked me what I thought. I told them it would be huge. They were very uncertain about that. I wonder if they remember. I saw the film at the weekend and thought it was utterly camp, ridiculous, hysterical and brilliant. To me ABBA music is amazing and this film can't help but make you realise that. ABBA were naff in the seventies, loathed in the eighties, 'in' in the nineties and now hailed as pop gods today.

I thought it was brilliant. It made me laugh and the way they made the songs fit the story was really clever.

Absolutely stupendous wicked film! In comparison to Dirty Dancing and Grease, it is surely a contender for the top place! I laughed so much there were tears streaming and cried so much....there were tears streaming! Amazing, wonderful film which far excelled any expectations! I saw it in Sunderland at weekend (age 53!) along with my elder daughter (30yrs) my youngest daughter (19yrs) and her long suffering boyf (20yrs) Initially, he came along cos he was dragged! But he suffered our jibes at the beginning of the film and ended up raving about it like the rest of us! In time, it will surely join Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman, Grease, South Pacific and the Sound of Music as a quick fix, rainy Saturday afternoon film within folkses DVD collection! Absolutely a "must see" and how much of an impact it made to a cinema audience, when they were dancing and applauding in their seats, as it closed! This is one very special film on soooh many levels! Go see!

I went to see this with two of my MALE friends, one of whom is gay, one straight (apparently). It was very embarassing cause we were the ONLY males in there and just when we said at the end " I hope no one we knows sees us ", the lights went on. ANYWAY, Mamma Mia is camper than Christmas in a dutch campsite, but you know what, its a right ruddy hoot!!

Don't go to this film if you don't have patience or a sense of humour. As said above, not a film for the storyline but one of the greatest feel good movies in ages... The songs are brilliantly put into the dialogue and all the actors try their hardest to shed whatever characters they may have been cast as and instead slip into 1970's pop! My highlight was any time I saw Julie Walters who was incredibly funny! Fair game to PB, who obviously is not a singer yet I could listen to his rendition of 'SOS' over and over. Go and see this and don't you dare say you did not tap your feet, mouth the words and smile when you left the cinema after this!

Fab fun movie - cheesy and corny - but a real feel good film. Brosnan however sings like he's constipated!!!

I loved this film and so did everyone else in the cinema where I saw it. There was clapping along, singing and people dancing out. It is a great feelgood movie which is what it is meant to be! I think Julie Walters, Meryl Streep and Colin Firth are great in this. Sorry Pierce but your singing is on a par with mine but you do make a likeable Sam and get kudos for the valiant attempts at singing some of the hardest songs a singer can perform well. Dominic Cooper and Amanda Seyfried are a pretty and cute couple that perform excellently and suit the whole tone of the island. Special mention also goes to the ensemble of dancers without whom several scenes wouldn't be as great as they are. Go to the film with a shut off mind and just enjoy the experience for what it is... you won't regret it !!!

If you love the songs you'll love the movie, it will leave you humming the songs long after the movie is over......a fantastic film for all the family it's not just a chick flic.... I've also seen the stage version and the only thing missing from the film is the interaction you get with the audience.......go on be brave.....relax enjoy and sing along.
