Quantum of Suck is more like it. The wort film of the entire franchise. Stay away until the next one.
Kris, Stratford Sinise on November 28th, 2008
I am a huge fan of Daniel Craig as Bond. Quantum is a good film, but not as good as Casino Royale. We enjoyed it very much but everyone I spoke to had the same impresssion - the action sequences were too broken apart and were disorienting, perhaps the editor or the fact that it was not an ection director? All in all, cannot wait for more.

3 weeks and still the UK's no 1 film, broken box office records around the world, says it all really. This film is fantastic, the plot was very easy to understand, obviously those that didn't get it are not very bright. Bourne has never been or is ever as good as Bond, these films make Bourne exactly what he is, a second rate rip off pile of garbage. There is only one Bond and nobody beats him. Anyone who didn't like has no taste whatsover.

Storyline was not up to the standard of "Casino Royale", but Craig is undoubtedly the best Bond since Connery. The action sequences were shot very well and the cast's performances throughout made up for any inadequacy in the plot. A good evening's entertainment.

The film is quite bad, really horrible story and it all doesn't make sense. Its like action for 2 mins then 45 mins of really bad story-telling and then a little bit more action and then some more crap. And the theme tune is the worst i have ever heard, id rather listen to Katie Melua than that rubbish. Daniel Craig = Awesome actor, but the bond films are now produced and in the hands of morons. Jason Bourne OWNS Bond anyday of the week.

The action in the film is immense and pretty well directed, you certainly won't leave unhappy with the stunts. However the plot is lacking something, it just doesn't feel like 'Bond' should. I loved Casino Royale but Quantum is nowhere near its emotive plot. But I have to say Craig and Dench were fantastic.

Truly mind-numbing. The action scenes were directed by a hyperactive 9-year old having multiple convulsive episodes. This assault on the senses left me bored, a state the non-existant plot failed to lift me out of. In the end I left the cinema about 2-3rds through the film. Thank god it was a free showing. Don't waste your money, AVOID!

I appreciate what the makers have been trying to achieve with the new Bond films. Reinventing him like this has been very brave. However, I think it's time for Bond to stop being Bourne and start being Bond again. And what was the gunbarrel bit doing at the end? Seems like change for the sake of change to me!

Quantum of Solace is a contemporary take on 007. It has nod to the old films. It is very refreshing to see Bond going after who killed Vesper. Bond needs closure and he finds that. I think people gave the film bad reviews cos they didn't want change. the film sas got a fantastic director in Marc Forster and the action sequences are done so well. This film does something quite similar to what Heroes does. Al in all, this film is an artistic action film about Bond finding his Quantum of Solace. Watch out for he twist at the end. Oh yeah, the ending isn't your average ending for a Bond film. Very refreshing!!!!!!!

The film was fantastic, awesome action, Judi Dench kicked ass as M and Daniel Craig IS the best bond for now. Cracking sequel to Casino Royale. Frankly if you didn't like it you ain't a Bond fan and you REALLY have no taste whatsoever!!!

A nice lean thriller that does exactly what it says on the tin, some great set pieces and fantastic performance from Craig.
Yvonne, Durham on November 3rd, 2008
No way is he the best Bond, the film was good, if you didn't think of it as bond as there was no whacko taking over the world, no gadgets, most un-Bond. Better than Casino Royale, but as another reviewer has said, now that we've done the whole Vesper storyline, can we get back to Bond tracking down Mr Major Bad Guy hell bent on global domination?

I thought it was great, action packed with car, boat and plane chases and then a great emotional ending wrapping it all up

It was alright but the story line was a bit wishy washy - how did he get from Austria to Italy with cancelled credit cards and a denied passport? But the stunts we good and he is quite a good Bond
Kathy, Southampton on November 2nd, 2008

The man shows no sole, best playing some robot in a terminator type role.

Another brilliant portrayal of Bond by Craig but this film just lacks the cutting edge and doesn't produce the goods with a weak storyine and a hardly 'evil' villain.

I was really looking forward to this movie, but after seeing it I was left feeling that all I'd watched was an extended version of Spooks. It was too downbeat, mundane, whilst it's the shortest Bond film to date, dare I say I was a little bit bored. The next Bond film needs to offer much more of the escapism that the Bond franchise has always been loved for. Keep the excellent Daniel Craig but please bring back the gadgets, Q, Miss Moneypenny and villians and henchmen that at least look more threatening than George Osborne's school chums!

Quite frankly this whole film is rubbish. With its car chases and tthe destructive action that belies the intrinsic vulnerability of the human body. Craig is unsuitable for kind of Bond I'd like to see. One that uses his brain as well as clever filming techniques.

Whilst not as good as Casino Royale, the intense paranoia the viewer (and Bond) has to deal with throughout the film is very entertaining, and I'm still very much enjoying this more vulnerable and ruthless Bond portrayed by Daniel Craig! The worst of the few downsides to this movie is the theme; watching the trademark cartoonish titles whilst listening to Alicia Keys & Jack White's "Another Way to Die", it sounded misplaced. Not very Bondy, unlike Chris Cornell's, which was perfect for CR. BUT David Arnold did excellent work subtly incorperating the theme's "motifs" throughout the Soundtrack, as he did with Casino Royale. Performances were very good all round, and there are some very funny gags and one-liners to keep the viewers chuckling between the more dramatic moments. "Best Bond thus far"? Arguably. Daniel Craig's take on the role is definately the most unique. Definately worth a watch if you were a fan of Casino Royale...but if you're not an admirer of the 'Bourne'esque flavour of the New Bond movies, you might not appreciate this entry as much as me.

Dreadful film, Action Scenes Great as Ever, but the plot, just plain dreadful. Girlfriend feel asleep at the plane chase scene and too be honest at that point I was bored enough that I was happy to take her home, unfortunately she was happy to stay for my benefit. What a waste

Danielle on October 31st, 2008
Good film not as good as expected though, but would recommened to see it.not the best bond thou.
Dean, London on October 29th, 2008
The producers are trying to hard to copy the Bourne identity movies. Bond worked well enough before they came along-Goldfinger/You only Live twice/The Spy Who Loved me/Moonraker/Die Another Day were all massive box office hits with larger than life bad guys. I want a bed hopping wise cracking handsome James Bond with tons og gadgets battling an over the top incredible villain-

"He is, without doubt, the best Bond thus far." Are you joking. He is nowhere near the best Bond.
