I am older than a teen but I can certainly say that I loved the movie and felt no compulsion to barf. After all - we've all been teenagers at some point. A good adaptation of the book as far as I'm concerned and that doesn't always happen. It's ghastly when a good book is ruined on celluloid!

I got the books for christmas and didnt realise how excited they were going to make me, i was completely sucked into the 'supermassive black hole' that is the world of the cullens and i never want to be chucked out. The movie was a slight disappointment and i don't feel it did the book justice, however i was COMPLETELY satisfied with watching robert pattinson for the duration of the movie. It was all a bit too emotional and too many parts were missed out for it to appeal to adults. I think that you should read to books to get every detail from the movie that would be missed by an 'unenlightened' audience. It was always going to be a tough film to shoot, and so i think they did a fairly god job, i still believe the books should be read to fully appreiciate the world of twilight.

The story line was great and was very powerfull. I am so glad theres anotherone coming out soon as i am reading the book New Moon i shall know what its about but i am sure it will be great. Loved the movie 10/10 from me.

I saw the film was coming out and thought, huh maybe i should read the books, so a good friend of mine lent them to me and i was hooked by page 10. Thoroughly enjoyed the books, the movie was one of the closest book to film adaptions i have ever seen, words litterally coming straight from the pages, although to me a film is never as good as the books this one came very close.

I was blew away when i first saw it , then my friend took me to see it again , then in a instant i fell in love with it , and when i was reading the books i was thinking omg this is going to be ok if it was a film , and it was it was beter than the book in my mind ... TEAM JACOB all the way .

It was a brill film and great adaptation of the book. However I think some of the scenes like the blood testing should have been included to the film! ROB <3

This was awesome! Went to see it with 3 of my friends, and I thought it was a pretty good film. People are always going to argue that the book is way better than the film, and that may be true BUT this was a fab attempt!

The movie lacked the passion between Bella and Edward. He didn't show the same level of intimacy like the book. Things like touching her face etc.. Also the movie didnt show the struggle bella had by trying to be good and how much Edward drove her crazy (in a good way). there were times when Edward would have a little evil but fun grin in the book. That would have been good to show the "bad" boy image.

It was pretty bog standard to tell you the truth...

I was pleasantly surprised by Twilight - I went to see it with a group of friends (2 girls, 1 other guy) and expected one of two scenarios - a) Too much of the romance (therefore enjoyed by girls not guys) or b) too much vampire stuff (i.e. blood, gore and general violence thus enjoyed by the guys and not the girls). In reality, we all enjoyed the film, the visuals were stunning as was the soundtrack and I would happily watch it again.

I adore this movie! Its just so good and although it isnt as detailed as the book, it was still absolutly great! I honestly cannot wait to see New Moon. ALICE IS SO COOL I LOVE HER :D

i've only watched it once but its amazing a lot better than I thought it was going to be - the acting and directing are both REALLY good
Izzy, London on December 22nd, 2008
I agree they should have made the film a bit longer, but they stuck to the book and it turned out better then expected. Rpattz plays a brilliant Edward Cullen, everyone played their character really really well. Obviously no movies ever going to be as good as the book, but Twilight is definately worth seeing!

This film was fantastic, really gripping and gritty. It's a sweet story without being too sloppy, and it's also quite frightening in some places. And Rob Pattinson is GORGEOUS. It's brilliant, and I'd really recommend it!

I LOVE the movie, I saw it once before I read the book and then I read the book and watched the movie again, This is my all time favorite movie now. besides that I think I will die before New Moon comes out in Nov 09, I will definatly be in line at the midnight opening of that one. as I was for the midnight opening of Twilight. I am in absolute love with Edward.

As a huge fan of the books i was both nervous and excited about seeing the film, not only did i find the chemistry between the actors totally convincing but the film as a whole was beautifully shot, the baseball scene was great, as was the piece in the kitchen with the cullens learning to cook by watching telly and rosalie's reaction. Definatly worth the wait cant wait to see the next film, hopefully they will show more of the cullen family as a whole than the book.
Sarah on December 20th, 2008
have to say the film is a little dissapointing. It's nowhere near as good as the book, and they missed out a lot of key scenes maybe it should have been longer. The arrangment was muddled too in relation to the book. If you like the film i'm sure you will like the book better.
Shenzys on December 19th, 2008
Enjoyed it immensely! Loved the close ups and Robert pattinson. And it was surprisingly hilarious at some points!
Jennifer, Belfast on December 19th, 2008
This movie is the best I have seen in a long time. It's a really beautiful love story, but it's also gritty and sometimes quite scary! And to top it off, you have Robert Pattinson onscreen for a good few hours! What more could you ask for?
Beckie, Brisbane on December 19th, 2008
did you even read the novels at all? you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. do a little research before you bash a movie thanks. the legion of fans will be after your blood if you insult their obsession. literally.
Rebecca, Herts on December 18th, 2008

For some reason I had missed the twilight books completely and it was only the release of the film that made me look, well to be honest it was BBC breakfasts suggestion that the twilight saga was the next Harry Potter. While the books are laboured and attempt to be in the style of Austin with a bit of Shakespeare thrown in, the substance is not there. While as always the books are so much better than the film, I can’t help but think that people who had not read the books could really understand what is going on in the movie. While I do like the style of the visuals I do however feel that you don’t really get to know who the people are and what are there motives. The heroin is quite frankly an idiot and neither in the film or the book does she improve.
