i just watched this movie last night, and it has become my new fav! So romantic and just the perfect romance. If only men were still like that today, that they would go to any lengths to be with you, to make you happy. I absolutely ADORED Matthew Macfayden as Mr. Darcy. I think he played him perfectly. and you could really see the chemistry between him and Kiera. I can't wait to buy it so i can watch it over and over. if you haven't seen it and you love a classic love story, see it now!! get off your computer and watch it RIGHT NOW. the most perfect love story of all time!

Pride and Prejudice is the best film I have seen in my whole life. Matthew Macfayden is a perfect Mr Darcy. He is so sexy. Best film ever, all actors are so good in this movie! I love it.

P&P is an outstanding movie that has now become the favorite and most enjoyable one for many US fans. It is filled with breathtaking landscapes, beautiful interiors, and awesome casting. Bravo to Joe Wright and every single member of his well-chosen team. From the US, we also salute and celebrate the talent and potential of Matthew McFadyen and Keira Knightley. We look forward to hearing more from these raising stars in the near future. They both did admirably. Way to go!!!

I found the movie absolutely delightful! Loved the chemistry between Keira and Matthew, especially the part where Keira realised her growing feelings for him yet being unable to express herself. I've always loved the book, and I really want to watch this movie again!

This most recent P&P is perfectly cast and acted, with exquisite cinematography and a gorgeous score -- I loved every moment and have now seen it three times -- this week! Matt and Kiera's performances are subtle, balanced and convincing - the supporting actors are superb. To compare, I also watched the Colin Firth version (again) on DVD. While each P&P is definitive in its own way, this new 2005 Joe Wright production is perfection as far as I'm concerned.

Delectable!! Matthew Macfayden is Firth's equal anyday. He shows the softer side of Darcy. I'm going back to see it again because it was just the best film I've seen in ages. Feel good factor 10. Makes you gush about the man in your life (or not!!). Thumbs, fingers and toes up to the Brits again!! Macfayden is a rare find so let's keep him and his dashing good looks . Bravo chaps!!!

I have watched the film three times now and I thinks it's fab. I think MacFayden makes a great Darcy and he certainly made my heart miss a few beats. I could feel the passion between Darcy and Elizabeth and I thought Keira played her superbly. Can't wait for the DVD.

Absolutely wonderful. If only life was still like this and men courted women respectfully and lovingly. Both the leads were excellent and Matthew especially was so gentle as well as arrogant, it was such a joy to watch.

Long, lingering looks and conversations in teeming storms are a ridiculous film mechanism to be used only when the script is rubbish. Did anyone bother to read Austen? This film is soft focus twaddle. A sniggering, insipid heroine is not, I'm sure what she had in mind and, having read the book many times, I'm equally sure that Austen didn't have Forrest Gump as a role model for Bingley.

I enjoyed P & P so much, I almost stayed for the second showing. Matthew MacFayden I thought was a superb Darcy. His vulnerability showed through making Darcy more than just a haughty pain in the backside. I was completely swept off my feet and laughing out loud at the dialogue. It was much too short, but the ending was wonderful. Jane and the marvellously bungling Mr Bingley were underused but well cast. Having the Bennets be actually poor in this version was much truer to the book than the lavish BBC adaptation. Be sure and read the book too - but go and be woo-ed by the movie while it's there. Sigh...

I was extremely disappointed with this version of P&P, they couldn't have picked a worse actress to play the role of Elizabeth. MacFayden played Darcy as a sulky teenager, not a patch on Colin Firth. The whole film was rushed through at an alarming pace and the language jumped from the original script to modern english (a complete mess). The first proposal from Darcy was so cringworthy I could barely stop myself from covering my ears. Please everyone read the book or watch the original and leave this pure Americanised trash where it belongs.

Went to see it yesterday, thought it was fantastic! Really enjoyable. it could have done with being a little bit longer though.

Being a huge fan of Colin Firth in the 1995 TV version, I wasn't sure what I'd make of the film. I enjoyed the film a lot and although Keira Knightley and Matthew MacFayden were well matched and this came across on the screen, I kept wanting Colin Firth to appear instead!

YAY! This film has now overtaken "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" as my favourite flick of all time...Yay. Loving the new Darcy, and Keira is great, and those outfits really help fill her out if you get what i mean. This film is a little short if you ask me, but as the popular saying goes ...it's not about length, it's how you use it. And this flick was a real goer (wink).
