It was good but the story line wasn't that clear. I also thought the acting was brilliant, especially Emma Watson.

The movie was OK .. not soo good and not soo bad...because the director didn't include all the scenes that were in the book .. eg the blast ended skrewts, when Harry gives George and Fred his triwizard tournaments reward.. but the movie was fine.. I hope the next director who will do the Order of the Phoenix will do it according to the book..

I thought it was awesome. I went with my Dad. My dad said it was boring so he fell asleep. I wished it was five hours HARD long. I Loved the Voldemort and Harry's wands connecting together. Wonder what happens in movie five. Movie Rocks

The movie is quite good from my point of view as a 25 times reader of the 4th book ( my life sux ). But the problem is they speed too fast through the details and miss important parts. Where is Winky. Where is Hermione's S.P.E.W.? I would have also loved to see the other parts in the quidditch match though. I also really liked to see the names in the quidditch players were correct, like Aidan Lynch and Mullet and Moran. Good movie.

I thought it was exciting and sad. I cried at the end every time I saw it. I saw it at least five (5) times maybe more. I thought it was a great movie, but I like every Harry Potter movie and I can thank my very good friend Rachel, she is the one who told me to pick it up and read it, and that is why she is my very good friend because me and her understand each other when we talk about Harry Potter. I look at Emma as a sort of guide because she is such a good actress, and I'm also hoping to get into this acting school. But over all the movie was Excellent, and I for one really liked it. I thought it was the best out of all the Harry Potter films, but that's just me.

I agree this was the BEST YET!! I had read the book twice before seeing the movie and I was still at the edge of my seat. To hear Voldemort actually say the words "Avada Kadavra" gave me goosebumps. WOW, WOW and WOW!!! I have seen the movie twice and I am planning to see it again on the big screen which completely does it justice!! I also have the release date for the DVD written on my calendar. BRAVO to JKR, the actors, the director-Newell, and Steve Kloves. The only thing I did miss was seeing Mr. Weasly and Ron blow up the Dursley's fireplace...that would have been great to see.

I thought it was OK,although I love reading the books and just felt that too many interesting bits of the book weren't included in the film,or were far too short eg. I expected the Quidditch world cup scenes to go on for a lot longer. I liked how the film got a lot darker towards the end of the film (eg.the scenes with Voldermort)and felt that the scene when everyone realised Cederic Diggory died were quite moving.I was very disappointed by the amount of things not included from the book, but also felt the film overall was less exciting as the third film, which I found funnier and a lot more interesting than the new film.

A great film better than any of the previous three it is great for fans of the book as well as film fans in general. The characters are growing up so fast and Harry, Ron and Hermionie all give good performances. Well-supported by a who's who of British actors the story flows along at a good pace and with large chunks taken out of the book it allows longer time to focus on the three dangerous challenges, the main storyline of the book. Ralph Fiennes is particularly good as Voldermort and i really enjoyed it on the whole and can't wait until the next instalment of Harry and his adventures at Hogwarts.

This is one of the best films of Harry Potter yet. I've been looking all over the internet for the DVD even though it came out like only a month ago. I totally love dan, and I cant wait to see the Order of the Phoenix and the Half Blood Prince since I already read the books.
Chloe, Los Angeles on December 28th, 2005
This was by far the best film! I've already seen it 3 times and plan on seeing it more.
James Watts, Surrey on December 27th, 2005
Finally got to see it last week; the only criticism I have is that it would have been good to have a few more lessons. As far as I know, the only lesson was DADA with Unforgivable Curses....too dark a film really. Still, it was very very well done, and gripping from start to end.
Sarah, Tasmania Australia on December 27th, 2005
This film was fantastic!! It was just as good as I expected it to be, I went to see it twice in the same week! I think it was the best by far out of all the Harry potter films. IT ROCKED!!!!
Christopher From Northern Ireland on December 23rd, 2005
It was a brilliant movie. I am really looking forward to the next one. Was scary too.
Mnx786 on December 13th, 2005
I loved it. The triwizard wizard action scenes was brillant absolulley breath taking, but they did cut out some of the major storylines like the winky, barty jr and barty crouch situation. But nevertheless, the film was excelllent, by far the best
stephanie banyard, Newquay on December 12th, 2005
It is excellent. It's getting better and better each film and the first one was brilliant and rupert grint (ron weasley) is getting hotter.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is totally the best film of the whole Harry Potter series by far! The scenes are gripping and tense and the stunts and special effects are dazzling. If you are a BIG Harry Potter fan, get to the cinema as fast as you can!!! RECOMMENDED FILM!!!

Took the kids to see it yesterday, Alan Rickman was as delicious as ever, could have done with some more scenes with him in it. ;-) Over all the movie was fantastic, by far the best one in the series yet. The acting has improved dramatically, particularly the trio. The twins were absolutely terrific, my daughter loved the scene where they tried to put their names into the Goblet. I would have liked to have seen more of the World Cup match at the start, particularly the Wronski Feint, and the dance of the Veelas. Winky was sadly left out, which could make things difficult for the next movie. The movie tended to jump a bit at the start, you needed to know the books to know what was going on. My daughter (and the group of teenage girls sitting in front) had trouble understanding some parts. Understandably the producer could not fit everything in, and the scenes at the end of the movie were straight from the book. Well done everyone concerned with the movie. Perhaps for the Harry Potter fans, a special collectors DVD edition could be made with all the missing bits. I know I'd certainly buy one.

Nellie Reano McEwen TN on December 1st, 2005
I thought the 4th movie was excellent although there was a lot left out. I think the they did a good job anyways it was still enjoyable to watch. It even made me cry and that will be the first Harry Potter movie that has done that. The graveyard scene at the end was excellent they did it exactly how I had pictured it while I was reading the book so that was great, and all the tasks were exactlly how I had pictured them also, so I am very impressed with this movie and I cant wait till it comes out on video.

Goblet of fire seems a very cropped film..i havent even read the book and I can see that its edited so much...but what we lose in clips we gain in very important main plot...theres less "pretty marvel" magic and new teenage angst and darker danger (death) and it delivers well with the concept of mortality to harrys character..Radcliffe was at his best this time and was allowed to be on his own a lot which was great because you can only take so much of his wide eyed thing he has to do with his sidekicks..hermione is played rather angrily, seeming to adopt a shouting in a panic method of general dialogue..I like the fact that Ron said piss off to Harry..but as I've been to the sets I know that those beds they all kip in are still designed for 11 year olds so I dont envy them and I'm amazed they get any cameras and light in that room its so tiny. so you wont ever now see an angle where they are full length in bed cos the actors cant actually fit in em anymore..come on studio guys stop being cheap, and build em a bigger dorm!! I wondered why Jarvis Cocker was on set..now I know why.(he wore the highest heels Ive ever seen a bloke get away with wearing and I also wondered why as hes really tall already..very gothic appearance that day) Great seeing the brilliant Shirley Henderson return as Myrtle...yeah I loved all the Harry Scenes where hes pretty much isolated, making mistakes and learning about who he is.Emma Watson needs to ditch this shouting and stressed delivery she does..its too intense and Ms Granger doesnt strike me as the kind of character to panic so much and Rupert G isn't doing that awful panic fear look he did all through the last 2 films so thats a plus, although I also think he needs to be a more miserable character so we can see his dark side a bit.Guy who played cedric was brilliant and as always Rickman delivers so fantastically as Snape all in all a very good "Harry" centred film which matches the others in quality of entertainment but it definitely does NOT technically better them..it just fits the timeline really well and matures the harry character and continuity as it should. Alfonso was the groundbreaker with Azkaban and the first film was and still is very much a joy to revisit on DVD, but this one covers new ground very well as we get to know more about who Harry is and maybe where he's going...the last scene with him covering cedric defensively was well thought out and very well acted..by that time Harry has started to become someone who has the spirit we want to see so his character can be believed much more as a "great wizard" etc etc. These quality acting clips make the film worthwhile. Footnote: my friend Sarah thought that fiennes as voldemort looked a lot like ted danson from cheers..I felt he looked more like danson as he is now, lol sorry but he does

This movie certainly stayed true to the most interesting themes and plots of the of the book...the Elf and Reeta parts of the book were just cringeworthy, so I was very happy they didn't crud up the movie with it. I'm sure the funding for the Joke Shop will be explained away in a line or two in the next movie, and since Reeta continues to rip on Harry throughout the remaining books, that will end up on the movies eventually. I think Cuaron's movie was just inspired and will continue to be my favorite of the series, but this one ranks right next to it. I also believe the movie should have ended after the tournament; though it makes sense in the book, the bit with Moody just feels tacked-on, and I had to explain the whole sequence to my non-book-reading friends.

Really good and I would go and see it again.

As a MASSIVE fan of the books, I find it hard to criticise the films, but considering they had to pack such a HUGE book into just over 2 hours they didn't do a bad job (god knows what they are going to do with book 5). The effects were fab, and HELLO Cedric Digory....mmmm....
LAUREN THOMPSON AKA DANNI on November 29th, 2005
HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE IS THE BEST ONE SO FAR. APART FROM RON AND HARRY BEING THE SEXIEST PEOPLE ON TV (FOR ME) IT IS MUCH MORE ACTION FILLED THAN THE REST THE BEST PART OF IT IS WHEN RON GOES TO ASK HERMIONE TO GO TO THE BALL (LUCKY GIRL) AND HIS WORDS DONT COME OUT RIGHT AND THEY END UP GETTING IN A FIGHT IT IS DEFINATLY AT THE TOP OF MY MOVIE LIST FOR THIS YEAR :-)
Craig G, Manchester on November 29th, 2005
I was expecting a lot from this movie, and having watched Alfonso Cuaron's Prisoner of Azkaban a few days before it seemed to be a little of let down. Some good things in the movie though were Radcliffe's acting has come on leaps and bounds and I thought the special effects were excellent too. One thing I will add is I though Tom Felton is looking very old now, he's the oldest out of the 4 being 18 and it certainly shows. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a new Draco for Phoenix.

I am honestly reading the 1/2/3-star comments with sheer disbelief. I am not exaggerating; this is about 1000 (one thousand) times better than the previous films put together (especially better than number 3). Amazing in every way...I know they didn't include everything but at least the story makes sense - unlike with number 3! They have kept in all the interesting bits, and all the visually effective bits - in fact everything needed to make both a great movie and a great book-to-movie transition. People on here are saying that they shouldn't have payed the money to get into the cinema - I would have paid 5 times the amount I did! As a HUGE Harry Potter fan, I was very satisfied with the film - both as a movie in its own right, and as a Harry Potter film.
