DiCaprio rumoured for 'Captain America'

Leonardo DiCaprio is Marvel's top choice to play Captain America, according to Latino Review.

Marvel, who previously announced plans to release First Avenger: Captain America on May 6, 2011, reportedly wants the Blood Diamond star to lead the film as US soldier-turned-superhero Steve Rogers.

Alternatively, if DiCaprio chooses to decline the role, the studio will turn to Brad Pitt. The Troy actor is also rumoured to be the first choice for another Marvel film, Thor.

DiCaprio is currently filming Martin Scorsese's crime drama Shutter Island.
