Brolin to star in 'Escape From New York'?

Josh Brolin is said to be the frontrunner to star in the planned remake of Escape From New York.
The No Country For Old Men actor is in line to play one-eyed fugitive Snake Plissken, the role played by Kurt Russell in John Carpenter’s original 1981 film.
Gerard Butler was previously attached to the part, while rumoured directors Brett Ratner and Len Wiseman are no longer involved with the project.
Brolin will next be seen playing President George W. Bush in Oliver Stone's W.
