Based on the novel by Robert Harris, the film will focus on a ghost writer (Cage) who uncovers a conspiracy while working with a former British Prime Minister (Brosnan) on a book.
Brosnan told MTV: "I'm going to go off and work with Mr. Roman Polanski and Nic Cage on a film called The Ghost. It's a thriller."
Director Polanski (Chinatown, The Pianist) earlier said of the film: "I have been looking for a political thriller to direct for some time, and The Ghost could not be more perfect. Robert has constructed a novel with such suspense. It is hard to put it down."
