Firth: 'I loved wearing spandex'

Colin Firth has admitted that he loved wearing spandex and platform shoes in new movie Mamma Mia!

The actor, who plays Harry Bright in the film version of the hit musical, said he had hoped to keep the Abba-style outfit he wore in the final sequence.

He told Teletext: "I freely admit I tried to pinch my costume from Pinewood. But I was stopped at the door, more's the pity.

"There's nothing more a man likes to do than don a frock and mince about."

Co-star Pierce Brosnan recently described wearing his own spandex costume as "a hoot".
