Spielberg, Cody team on DreamWorks comedy

Diablo Cody will pen an untitled comedy script for Steven Spielberg, Variety says.

The film, based on an original idea by Spielberg, has been shrouded in such secrecy that even studio DreamWorks are unaware of the storyline.

Spielberg first became aware of Cody when her script for Juno was making the rounds in Hollywood. The veteran helmer considered directing the Oscar-winning film before Jason Reitman eventually took the reigns.

Cody and Spielberg have previously collaborated on the Showtime sitcom The United States Of Tara.
