Universal to remake BBC's 'Second Sight'
Universal is to turn the 1999 BBC drama Second Sight into a feature film, Variety reports.

Craig Rosenberg has been hired to pen the US remake with Don Murphy (Shoot 'Em Up) and Susan Montford producing through their Angry Films shingle.

The original series starred Clive Owen as a detective who takes on a high-profile murder investigation while developing an eye disease that causes him to hallucinate and lose his sight.

Universal is to release State Of Play, a remake of another BBC series, next April.

Rosenberg, a former Lost staff writer, will shortly direct psychological thriller The Panopticon for producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura.
