Williams cast as 'World's Greatest Dad'

Robin Williams will star in black comedy World's Greatest Dad, Variety reports.

The plot revolves around a single father (Williams) who discovers his son dead after an embarrassing accident. To give his deceased offspring dignity, he writes a suicide note and leaks it to the school's student paper.

Standup comic-turned-director Bobcat Goldthwait has written the script and will helm the film. Richard Kelly, Sean McKittrick and Ted Hamm will produce through their Darko Entertainment company.

The Donnie Darko filmmakers are also involved with I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell, an adaptation of Tucker Max's memoirs.
