Fergie joins musical 'Nine' cast

Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie will appear in Rob Marshall's musical Nine.

The popstar joins a cast that includes Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, Dame Judi Dench, Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson, Sophia Loren and Daniel Day-Lewis.

Marshall's movie is based on the Broadway musical of the same name.

Fergie's previous big screen credits include Poseidon and Planet Terror.

Nine is scheduled to begin shooting in September.
