Vartan, Cross to lead 'Demoted'

Michael Vartan and David Cross will lead the cast of Parallel Zide's comedy Demoted, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Vartan has secured the part of a high-flying tyre salesman who finds himself relegated to a secretarial role when his uncool colleague (Cross) is promoted ahead of him.

American Pie 2 director J.B. Rogers will helm from a script by Dan Callahan. Warren Zide will act as producer.

Vartan and Cross both shot to fame with high-profile TV roles. Vartan was a series regular on Alias while Cross appeared in the short-lived comedy Arrested Development.
