
Mamma Mia! has held off competition from Pixar's WALL-E to retain the UK top spot.
The Abba musical took £300,000 more at the box office than the animated adventure.
Elsewhere, there were new entries for Eddie Murphy's sci-fi comedy Meet Dave at five and teen horror Donkey Punch at ten.
