Duchovny concerned about sex scene

Rex Features

David Duchovny has revealed that he was worried about wife Téa Leoni's reaction to the sex scene in the new X-Files film.

The actor's character Fox Mulder gets intimate with fellow FBI agent Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) in I Want to Believe, the second movie spinoff of the '90s TV show.

When asked if he was anxious about Leoni watching the scene, he replied: "Yes! But luckily we were filming in Canada so I didn't have to deal with it!"

The couple have been married for 11 years and have two children.

The X-Files: I Want To Believe is released in the UK next week.
