Fox planning 'X-Men: First Class'?

Entertainment industry publication Production Weekly lists the film X-Men: First Class as in development at studio 20th Century Fox, suggesting that the popular superhero team may soon make a return to the big screen.
X-Men: First Class, which originated as a Marvel comic series in 2007, focuses on the formative years of heroes Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Angel, Beast and Iceman as they attend Professor Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. The series was written by Jeff Parker and drawn by Roger Cruz.
X-Men spinoff Wolverine is scheduled for release next year with a solo Magneto movie expected to follow in 2010.
