Taylor cast in 'Splinterheads'

Transformers actress Rachael Taylor has joined the cast of Splinterheads, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The film takes place in the world of carnival performers and focuses on the relationship between Taylor's con artist and a local dropout (Thomas Middleditch).

Christopher McDonald and Lea Thompson are also among the cast.

Taylor recently appeared in horror film Shutter.

Brant Sersen, who helmed paintballers comedy Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story, will write and direct Splinterheads.
