Philip Railsback, the late writer behind the upcoming Universal drama Flash Of Genius, will have one of his last scripts Barstow turned into a movie, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The writer's brother Steve Railsback will direct the script, which revolves around three desperate men in a small town. Keith Carradine and Scott Wilson are attached to star.
Steve Railsback previously directed little-seen spy film The Flight Of The Dove. He is more recognised as an actor, having appeared in The Stunt Man with Peter O'Toole and the TV series The Visitor.
Barstow was written ten years ago after Railsback lived in the California town.
Joseph Majestic and David Mendez will produce the $4 million independent feature.
