The Mirror had reported that Spears was in talks to play thrill-seeking exotic dancer Varla in a remake of Russ Meyer's 1965 movie Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!.
The original camp classic saw Varla and two other strippers meet up with a young couple in the desert. Varla murders the man with her bare hands before abducting the woman.
However, a spokesman for the singer denied the claims, saying: "Though she definitely intends to explore acting roles down the road, right now she's concentrating on recording her next album."
