Filming of the final scenes in The Matrix trilogy was extra difficult because of the artificial rain, lead star Keanu Reeves has revealed.
At the end of the third film, Matrix Revolutions, Neo (Reeves) has one last climactic fight with Agent Smith (Hugo Weaving) as rain belts down.
"On the first take, when Hugo and I fight, the rain came down, and we realised that we couldn't see each other," Reeves said during promotion for the movie, released on Wednesday. "But we'd fought so much together that we actually didn't have to see each other, which was kind of a cool thing."
"It was just dramatic. It was fun. It was like a ton of water a minute or something like that. So we were wet for a couple of weeks. Six weeks."
