Willem Dafoe signs for 'Antichrist'

Willem Dafoe has signed up to appear in Lars Von Trier's Antichrist.

The film, which will begin shooting next month in Germany, is a "psychological thriller that evolves into a horror film", according to Variety.

Anders Thomas Jensen is penning the script, while Charlotte Gainsbourg is also among the cast.

The movie follows the story of a couple that move to an isolated cabin in the woods shortly after the death of their only child.

Meta Louise Foldager will produce the project.
