Hilary Swank lines up 'French Women'

Hilary Swank has picked up the movie rights to Mireille Guiliano's book French Women Don't Get Fat.

The adaptation will focus on the manager of a champagne company as she experiences tough life lessons, according to Variety.

Swank will serve as producer with her 2S Films partner Molly Smith and may also star in the romantic comedy.

Heather Hach, whose credits include Freaky Friday and Legally Blonde, will pen the screenplay.

The non-fiction book has been translated into 40 languages and sold more than 3 million copies.
