National Lampoon has confirmed it is producing spoof project The Legend Of Awesomest Maximus.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the comedy will poke fun at films including Gladiator, 300 and Troy.
Will Sasso, Terminator 3 star Kristanna Loken, Ian Ziering, Date Movie's Sophie Monk, Bad Santa's Tony Cox and Dodgeball actor Rip Torn are confirmed among the cast.
Revenge Of The Nerds director Jeff Kanew has signed up to helm the movie, which was written by Jason Burinescu.
