'Bend It Like Beckham' given GLAAD nomination

The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) has given Brit-flick Bend It Like Beckham a nomination in the 'Outstanding Film - Wide Release' category for its 15th Annual GLAAD Media Awards.
The football-focused film includes a sub-plot where the parents of one of the lead characters, Jules (Keira Knightley), are under the impression that she is involved in a lesbian relationship with another character.
The other nomination in this category is Under the Tuscan Sun.
