Thousands of Lord of the Rings fans are expected to turn out at the UK premiere of the final movie in London this evening.
Leicester Square will be transformed into Middle Earth for the arrival of the cast; Orlando Bloom, Liv Tyler and Sir Ian McKellen are among the stars expected to appear.
The UK crowd is unlikely to top the reception given at the world premiere in New Zealand last week, when more than 100,000 attended a three-mile parade through Wellington.
Return of the King opens in the UK on December 17.
