The Marvel Comics film, which stars Edward Norton and earned $250 million at the worldwide box office, will make its high-definition debut on October 13.
Eddie Cunningham, President of Universal Pictures International Entertainment, said in a statement: "This is an exciting time for Universal; our Blu-ray slate for [the end of 2008] is one of the strongest and most compelling of any studio with the release of no less than five major summer blockbusters."
Cunningham added that the Blu-ray format offers "huge growth opportunities for us and the industry as a whole".
Marvel's Simon Philips noted that the Hulk release would provide fans with extensive "bonus features and depth of content".
Extras exclusive to Blu-ray include deleted scenes, an alternate opening, a scene explorer and interactive BD-Live functions allowing viewers to chat to friends while watching the film and share their favourite clips.
