Anthony and Joe Russo will direct an adaptation of comic book Ciudad.

The brothers, whose film credits include You, Me And Dupree, Welcome To Collinwood and Pieces, are co-writing the comic with Ande Parks.

It will be a dark thriller that revolves around a hostage negotiation in Paraguay's dangerous Ciudad del Este, according to Variety.

The movie will begin shooting shortly after the comic's release in 2009.
