Rings still King in UK
Return of the King was still the number one movie of choice for UK cinema-goers over the weekend.

Interestingly, takings for the film were only 9% down on the previous week, still a high £6.5m, with a domestic gross to date of £41.8m.

The whole box office was up in general after last week's lull for the Christmas weekend. Peter Pan held second with £1.6m, whilst Love Actually remained third on £1.1m.

Farrelly brothers comedy Stuck On You, starring Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear as conjoined twins, was the only new entry to the top ten with respectable sales of £1.1m.

Cold Mountain moved up one place to fifth after a massive 144% increase in takings to £0.9m.
