Malachai cast in 'Children Of The Corn'

Daniel Newman has been cast as baddie Malachai in the upcoming remake of horror movie Children Of The Corn.
The made-for-TV film, to be directed by original producer Donald P. Borchers from his own screenplay, will air on the Sci-Fi Channel next year. It will also be released on DVD.
David Anders and Kandyse McClure also star in the movie, based on the 1978 novella by Stephen King.
Shooting is currently underway in Davenport, Iowa, reports Bloody Disgusting.
Newman's previous credits include 2005 miniseries To The Ends Of The Earth, as well as guest appearances in Holby City, Doctors and Casualty.
