Sarandon to star in 'Leaves Of Grass'

Hollywood actress Susan Sarandon is to star in the comedy-thriller Leaves Of Grass.

The film, written and directed by actor Tom Blake Nelson, will also feature Richard Dreyfuss and Edward Norton.

The movie follows twin brothers, played by Norton, as their very different lives entwine. One is an Ivy League philosophy professor and the other a marijuana grower.

The professor is lured back to his Oklahoma hometown for a doomed scheme against a local drug lord, played by Dreyfuss.

Sarandon will play the twins' mother, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Country singer Steve Earle and actress Lucy DeVito are also in the cast. Filming is due to start later this month in Los Angeles.
