Ehren Kruger will pen a screen adaptation of Boston Teran's novel God Is A Bullet, reports Variety.
The Ring screenwriter will pitch the film to studios once he has completed a draft of the script. He is hoping to direct and produce the project.
God Is A Bullet centres on a California police officer who attempts to rescue his daughter from a gang of murderous criminals.
Kruger is currently preparing to make his directorial debut with The Keep, based on Jennifer Egan's supernatural novel.
