Curtis: "I look for the invitation"

Jamie Lee Curtis explained her pot-luck approach to choosing film roles as she attended the premiere of her new movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua in Hollywood.

Speaking outside Disney's El Capitan Theatre, she explained: "They invite me I show up, I swear. I'm not that discerning. I just love what I get to do."

Curtis, the daughter of actors Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, added: "I don't look for anything, I look for the invitation."

Curtis found fame in movies such as Trading Places and A Fish Called Wanda. She was also given the accolade of having performing the best striptease in cinema history for her moves in the film True Lies.

"I get lucky once in a while that it is something really lovely and special. Once in a while it is important, but a lot of the times it can be bad," she said.

"This time it's just something very sweet and gentle, and funny and family-friendly and I'm thrilled."
