Jude Law and Sienna Miller will team up on the big screen for the first time since 2004 in Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes.

The pair co-starred in Alfie and subsequently became engaged, but they split after it was revealed that Law had cheated with his children's nanny.

The former couple will now reunite in Sherlock Holmes, with Law playing Watson opposite Robert Downey Jr's Baker Street supersleuth, reports The Mirror.

RocknRolla star Mark Strong is thought to be in line for the role of the antagonist Blackwood.

Sherlock Holmes is scheduled for release in 2010.
