Mendes bemoans lack of female roles

The star claimed that she is looking to move into producing in order to help get films made by using her star power.
She told the Evening Standard that it does not help to moan about the situation, saying she prefers to take action instead.
"There is a lack of roles out there for females. I could sit back and complain and I still do but you've got to help things change as well. Turning this role around and doing it from a female angle is one step," she said.
