Caine, McConaughey join 'Brilliant'

Michael Caine and Matthew McConaughey will join the cast of Scarlett Johansson's heist film Brilliant.

Speaking to MTV, Caine revealed that he will segue into filming Brilliant once he has completed work on Harry Brown, a story of an ageing vigilante.

He said: "I have Harry Brown. Then I'll probably do a film with Scarlett Johansson. I was told yesterday that they have Matthew McConaughey as the guy. I've got go home and read it again. It's a heist adventure film."

The project was first announced in 2006 with Barry Levinson attached to direct. The plot focuses on a jewel thief who works with a conman to score the biggest heist in history.

Gillian Gorfil and Elizabeth Shorten worked on the screenplay.
