'Choke' kicks off Raindance Festival

Clark Gregg's Chuck Palahniuk adaptation Choke will open the Raindance Film Festival.

Now in its 16th year, the independent film event includes screenings of 75 feature films and more than 100 shorts along with filmmaker Q&As and masterclasses.

Mark Tonderai's directorial debut Hush, low-budget Welsh horror film Flick and Richard Ayoade's Arctic Monkeys At The Apollo will also screen in London's West End as part of the festival.

Stars making an appearance at Raindance, which runs from October 1 to October 12, include Anjelica Huston, Faye Dunaway, Arctic Monkeys and Corey Feldman.

The jury is comprised of actor and filmmaker Peter Capaldi, Wind That Shakes The Barley producer Rebecca O'Brien, Beastie Boy Adam Yauch and Don't Look Now director Nicolas Roeg.

Winners will be announced before the screening of closing night film Hush on October 12.
