John Davis has purchased the rights to Paul Alexander's book Good Night, Dorothy Kilgallen.
Alexander's book examined the mystery behind the death of journalist Dorothy Kilgallen, who secured the only interview with Lee Harvey Oswald's killer, Jack Ruby.
Kilgallen, who considered John F. Kennedy a friend, investigated the president's assassination, but died before she completed her book on his death, Murder One.
Segments of her book about Kennedy's murder are rumoured to have gone missing following her passing.
Davis Entertainment will produce the movie, while Alexander has been asked to pen the screenplay.
