'Star Wars 3' footage leaked on net
Published Tuesday, Jan 27 2004, 20:18 GMT | By Neil Wilkes
Clips from the third Star Wars movie have made their way onto the internet over one year before it is released.
The final film is still in filming but some excerpts were shown at a private meeting at production company Lucasfilm at the weekend. Within hours the clips were being shared around computers across the world through standard file sharing programmes.
Fan site theforce.net described some of the scenes in the footage: "Plenty of action from The Duel is revealed, including moments where the two Jedi put their sabers down for a second and use the fists and feet. The montage is set to AC/DC's 'Back in Black' - obviously a reference to the return of Lord Vader, who actually makes an appearance in the bootleg about halfway through in one quick shot."
Star Wars Episode III gets a worldwide release on May 25, 2005.
